Was built in the Glenen shipyard in Douarnenez in Brittany, France in 1991 as a French Gillnetter. We then bought the vessel from French owners in Lorient in 2012 and worked with the MARITIME AND COASTGARD AGENCT to bring the Stelissa under the British Flag. The vessel had a new engine in 2016; the refit included fitting the very latest of electronically controlled Caterpillar Diesel engines to meet the latest emission standards that are IMO Tier II. This represents approximately a 20% reduction in NOx from the previous requirement.
